FAQ Localisation

Can one scenario be delivered in more than one language?

Multilingual delivery is built into the scenario rather than handled as separate copies, so the assessed logic stays the same whichever language a learner uses.

Welsh and English in one build

A single scenario can carry both languages, with every screen, voiceover and hotspot available in Cymraeg and English. In the Social Care Wales experiences, pupils switch freely between the two. The Department plan includes a Welsh language pack.

Other languages through voice generation

Built-in voice generation via ElevenLabs and Polly narrates scenarios in over 40 languages, so a cohort's audio can be localised without hiring voice talent for every market. Node XR partner VR Latam runs one scenario localised for cohorts across Latin America.

Translation is not the same as compliance

For organisations covered by the Welsh Language Standards, running an English version through a translation engine does not discharge the duty, and the Welsh Language Commissioner has named unreviewed automated translation as a compliance failure. Authoring in both languages from the start avoids the problem.
