For the uninitiated

What's an immersive wall?

A projection-based room — anything from a 3-wall Pod to a full Room with floor projection — that surrounds an audience with synchronised, interactive content.

Node XR is the software layer. We don't sell hardware. We work with the install you already have, or the one our partners are about to ship you.

Smaller install
Pod
Up to 3 walls or projectors. No floor projection. Single-room training cells and integrator demo suites.
Full Room
Room
4 to 8 surfaces plus projected floor. The standard rollout for university labs and clinical sim suites.

FAQ

Walls questions.

What is the difference between a Pod and a Room? +
A Pod is a smaller installation — typically up to three walls or projectors, without a floor surface. Rooms are larger installations with four to eight projection surfaces plus a projected floor. The price difference reflects the integration time and pipeline support each install requires, not the number of learners — both tiers are unlimited.
Do I need an immersive wall to use Node XR? +
No. The platform stands alone for VR, browser, tablet and phone delivery — start with the Sandbox or a Pilot plan and never touch a Walls licence. The Walls tiers on this page are only relevant if you have (or are installing) a Pod or Room.
Can I author on a desktop and deploy to a wall? +
Yes — that is the entire model. Node XR is a hybrid 3D spatial editor: you author on a desktop, preview the wall layout in 3D in your browser, and publish to the install once. The same scenario also plays on VR, desktop, tablet and mobile if you have the platform add-on.
What if we have multiple Pods or Rooms? +
Each install is its own licence at the headline price. Buying two or more, an automatic 15% volume discount applies to additional installs after the first. For multi-site deployments (e.g. three Rooms across two campuses) we provide a single quote — talk to sales for a site-wide arrangement.
What hardware do you support? +
Anything that runs a Windows or Linux media server with HDMI/DisplayPort output to projectors or LED panels. Our deepest integrations are with Gener8 Spaces, Immersive Interactive, Igloo and Mission Room — but Node XR is hardware-agnostic and works with bespoke CAVE and powerwall installs. We will confirm compatibility for your install in writing within 48 hours.
Can we use existing content — PowerPoint, video, 360° images? +
Yes. The editor accepts MP4, MOV, JPEG, PNG, 360° images, 360° video, glTF/GLB 3D models, Gaussian splats, audio (WAV, MP3), and HTML documents. PowerPoint slides can be exported to PNG and dropped in. We do not import .pptx directly — yet.
How does content sync across multiple walls or projectors? +
A single published scenario contains a wall layout — Node XR slices the rendering across the surfaces in your install at runtime and synchronises playback frame-by-frame. Branching choices propagate across all surfaces in milliseconds. No per-wall authoring is required.
