Why are Education partner rates half the Commercial rates?
Education pricing is set low on purpose, which leaves a thinner margin to share. Halving the percentage keeps Education deals worthwhile for the partner and sustainable for Node XR.
Education licence pricing
- Department — £2,500
- Faculty — £7,500
- Institution — £15,000
The halved rates
On Education sales, partner-led commission runs 15% (Pilot), 17.5% (Professional) and 20% (Enterprise), with affiliate introductions at 5–7.5% — half the equivalent Commercial percentages.
Why it is structured this way
Because Education licences carry lower margin than Commercial deals, a full-rate share would make them unprofitable. Halving the rate keeps both sides in the black while still rewarding the sale.
