Is Node XR accessible to users with disabilities?
Accessibility depends on the platform and on how each scenario is built, so the honest answer comes in two parts: what to ask Node XR for, and what your authors control.
What to ask for
Ask for the current accessibility statement and assess it against WCAG 2.2 AA, the standard UK public-sector buyers should expect to be assessed against. Treat accessibility as a real procurement requirement rather than a nice-to-have, and raise it early.
More than one way to take part
Every scenario runs in a desktop browser and on phones and tablets, and an immersive wall lets a group share one scene with no headset at all. Learners who cannot or prefer not to use a headset still reach the same training, and scores from every device land in the same learner record.
What your authors control
- Pairing on-screen text with audio narration or voice-over
- Not relying on video or colour alone to carry essential information
- Writing hotspot text in plain language
- Testing each scenario on the devices your learners will actually use
