Does Node XR run in a web browser without installing anything?
For learners, a browser link is the most common way in. There is nothing to install on a laptop before someone can start.
Browsers and devices that work
Scenarios play in desktop browsers including Chrome, Safari and Edge, with no install and no plugin. The same build runs on iOS and Android phones and tablets, so a learner can switch devices and resume mid-scenario.
Why this helps on managed networks
Because there is no app to install, a scenario can reach a cohort on the laptops and phones they already use. Node XR's schools page describes it as browser-based and school network friendly, with no app installs.
Headsets and immersive walls
On VR headsets such as Meta Quest and Pico, Node XR runs in the browser via WebXR. Immersive walls are the exception: they are driven by a Windows or Linux media server in the room, under a wall licence that is a separate product from the platform plan.
