FAQ
Building scenarios
What types of scene can I build?
A scene is one step of a scenario: the space or image the learner is working in. Node XR accepts most kinds of visual media as a scene.
Which media can a scene use?
A scene can use any of six kinds of media.
- 360° photos, for real spaces learners look around
- 360° video, with timed stop points
- Flat 2D images, for slide-style or map-based scenes
- 3D models in glTF or GLB format
- Gaussian splats, for captured spaces learners can move around
- Documents, for reference material
Can I create a scene without footage?
Yes. Describe the scene you need and AI Assist generates a 360° environment you can place hotspots on. You can swap in your own footage later without rebuilding the scenario.
Which scene types are on the free tier?
2D image scenes and 360° image scenes. 360° video, 3D models and Gaussian splats come with the paid plans, and scenarios built on the free tier carry over when you upgrade.
