FAQ Medtech & sales

Is Node XR used for clinical training inside medtech companies?

The line matters in medtech, so it is drawn plainly: the medtech work is commercial content, not clinical training.

What does Node XR do inside medtech companies?

It supports sales, marketing, events and product familiarisation. Typical uses are AR tours of an innovation hub, a full-size instrument shown in a customer's lab, stand content at a congress, and a product familiarisation module for new starters built from event content.

Why is it not clinical training?

Because Node XR makes no claim about patient outcomes, clinical validation or regulated clinical training in its medtech work. The platform is no-code 360°, hotspots, AR placement and branching, not physics simulation or hand-tracked interaction, so it is not a way to train anything that needs hands.

Where is Node XR used for clinical education?

In NHS trusts and university health faculties, where educators build their own scenarios. Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, for example, built branching cardiac assessment scenarios. Even there it rehearses recognition and decisions, and does not replace manikin work or supervised practice.
