FAQ NHS & healthcare

Can a trust film its own wards for scenarios?

A locally filmed scenario beats a purchased library on accuracy rather than fidelity. A scenario that teaches the wrong escalation route teaches the wrong thing.

Why film your own ward?

Because escalation protocols, equipment, layouts, documentation and local wording all differ between trusts. A scenario built in your own space teaches your pathway, and your educators can update it when a protocol changes.

What does a typical build look like?

A typical build follows five steps from capture to deployment.

  • Capture: film a ward, resus bay or community setting in 360°, or use existing photos and renders
  • Layer: place hotspots on the observation chart, the monitor, the drug cupboard and the colleague to escalate to
  • Branch: build the decision points, including what happens after a late or wrong escalation
  • Score: mark the decisions that are genuinely being assessed, not everything
  • Deploy: publish once to a laptop, tablet, headset or projection wall

Can someone film it for us?

Yes. Node XR Studio films hospital wards, theatres, paediatric units, primary care settings and sim suites, with AI face-blur as a safeguard. At Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, the Studio team edited over 110 360° images into a single orientation library that every new starter now completes before their first shift.
