How do universities get Node XR approved by central IT?
University deals tend to stall in central IT rather than in the faculty. Having the standard answers ready saves weeks.
Does it work with the VLE and gradebook?
Yes. Scenarios launch through LTI 1.3 into Canvas, Blackboard or Moodle, and results export as SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI or cmi5, so marks land in the gradebook the programme already uses.
What about sign-on, hosting and security?
Node XR works as a single sign-on service provider via SAML 2.0 and OIDC, with multi-factor authentication for organisational accounts. Full SAML, OIDC and Entra ID integration is included from the Enterprise or Institution plan, so check which plan covers your requirement.
Data is hosted on AWS in the eu-west-2 (London) region, and Node XR holds Cyber Essentials Plus. Ask for the current certification scope in writing.
How will accessibility be assessed?
Against WCAG 2.2 AA, the standard set by the UK public sector accessibility regulations. Ask Node XR for the current accessibility statement rather than assuming a conformance level.
