cmi5
cmi5 is an xAPI profile that defines how an LMS launches content, which statements the content must send and how the LMS decides an activity is satisfied.
Begun by the AICC and now maintained by ADL, it fills gaps plain xAPI leaves open: launch, authentication and session rules, plus nine defined verbs, including launched, initialized, completed, passed, failed and terminated. Content can be hosted outside the LMS, and extra xAPI statements can be sent alongside.
For buyers it offers xAPI's detail with SCORM-style predictability. Node XR exports SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI and cmi5.
