Headset hygiene
Also known as headset cleaning · vr hygiene · headset sanitising
The cleaning and infection prevention routines that keep shared VR headsets safe and comfortable to use from one learner to the next.
Typical measures include wipe-clean or disposable face covers, cleaning the face interface and straps between users, a dry microfibre cloth for the lenses and, in some settings, UV-C cleaning cabinets. Use the cleaning products the manufacturer approves, and in healthcare follow local infection prevention policy.
Hygiene time adds up when a whole cohort shares a few headsets. Every Node XR scenario also runs in a desktop browser and on phones and tablets, so teams can train large groups without buying, charging, cleaning or managing a single headset.
