Gaussian splat

Also known as Gaussian splatting · .splat

A photorealistic, walk-around 3D scene captured from photos — an alternative to 360° media and 3D models.

A Gaussian splat is a photorealistic 3D scene reconstructed from many photographs using a technique called Gaussian splatting.

Node XR supports .splat scenes alongside 360° media and traditional 3D models, letting learners move around a captured space rather than viewing it from one fixed point.
